Angels & Demons
So basically, the plot of it is this:
A Hashashin tries to blow up the Vatican with the LHC and a guy saves the day by linking symbols to a hodge podge of conspiracy theories and various falsities about history, art, science, and religion.
And people are all like "OMG DAN BROWN KNOWS HIS SHIT THIS IS PROBABLY ALL TRUE!"
And I get looked down on when I tell people I read science fiction.

On the topic of your entry, yeah, the people who take Dan Brown as fact are completely lost to me. My grandparents tried to make me suffer through the Da Vinci code nonsense, and I think they know now that it's a touchy subject with me.
