I finally finished A Game of Thrones today. I've been listening to the audio books at work because I don't have a whole lot of time to read these days.

It's really hard to say who my favorite character is at his point. It's funny how my opinions swayed as it went on. I started out really liking Bran, and was upset when that thing with the stuff happened (I don't want to spoil it for anyone who is reading/will read it), but after it happened, I liked him less. Catelyn started off cool, too, and right now she's probably my least favorite character. She swings between strong woman and weepy milksop at the drop of a hat with no real indication of what she's going to be at any given moment. Seriously, I found Cersei ten times more likable than Catelyn. Cersei is a cunning, classy lady. Catelyn I'm a little indifferent toward Eddard, in spite of him being the main character. It got to the point where I stopped caring so much about the main plot and wanted to see what Daenerys, Jon, or Tyrion was up to. The only bad part about Tyrion's chapters was that I had to put up with Catelyn.

Of all the POV characters, the ones I like best are Daenerys, Tyrion, Jon, and Arya. It's hard to say who my favorite is, but it's probably a tie between Daenerys and Tyrion.

Now to start on A Clash of Kings.
