Jimmy Cliff icon! If you haven't seen "The Harder They Come", I highly reccomend it. It's become my favorite movie. I've always loved gangster movies (Scarface <3) and raggae music. The best way to describe it is Scarface meets O Brother Where Art Thou?. It's about a young man growing up in Jamaica who wants to be a raggae star, so he records a song. Disappointed that his song isn't an instant hit, he turns to drug dealing to make his money. Finally, his song gets some success as his reputation as a gangster grows. The soundtrack is also awesome.
