Borrowed The Watchmen from Kat. Talking like Rorschach now.

A little shocked and amused at the attitudes of the heroes. Loved that "Anti-War protests" was listed as one of society's ills.

More shocked that The Comedian and I share similar views about life. Not a psychopath about it like he is.

Oh wow, you're reading Watchmen? That's awesome. I'm jealous. There are a select list of experiences that I wish I could have for the first time again, and reading Watchmen is one of them.

I read the first chapter in the store a few years ago, and it's been one of those things I've been meaning to pick up, but just haven't. Now that the movie is coming out, I've been eager to read it.

It is seriously the best graphic novel I've ever read.

I don't remember if I told you this or not, but when I first read Watchmen, I read it alongside my friend Ben. We only allowed ourselves to read one chapter at a time so that we could discuss it the next day and talk about what we thought was going to happen next and stuff like that. It made it a lot more suspenseful to not be able to just read straight through and it was awesome to have someone to bounce theories off of.

Pie hasn't read it yet. I think the plan is that I'm going to see the movie without her and then I'll tell her whether she should see the movie first so she can get the full movie experience of not knowing what's going to happen or if she should read the book first because the movie just doesn't live up :p

*is a crazy person*

If being enthusiastic about something you enjoy is crazy then throw me in the looney bin, too.

you can take the comedian's psychology, i prefer the unbridled paranoia and misguided sense of revenge and vigilanite justice rorschach plays along with.

seriously, the bit with the psychologist? simply awesome.

I seriously love Rorschach. There isn't a single character in The Watchmen who isn't severely messed up, but Rorschach is the captain of the Justice League of Crazytown.

In my days since leaving The Cult of The Door-To-Door Salesman, I've stumbled upon a lot of varying philosophies, and the one I like best is that one that says that existence, no matter how it is defined, is inherently funny. Life is an extremely elaborate practical joke played on us. It is simultaneously the funniest and the worst joke ever told.

Hard not to talk like Rorschach after reading. Drives me batty. ...and then I get the urge to emote and it's all better. XD;

Baw, when I get it back, that means that I'll have to finish it and not dawdle now. XD
